A group of environmental organisations published a public map of warehouse development across the Savannah area. The count comes to nearly 700, and they attribute the growth directly to the port getting bigger.
The tool matters more than the number. Warehouses are the least visible thing built here: they go up on the edges of the county, one approval at a time, and no single office keeps a running total. Until now anyone arguing about the cumulative effect at a zoning hearing had nothing to point at.

Warehouses get approved one at a time and reviewed one at a time. A public count is the first thing that lets anyone argue about the total.
What to watch
Whether the map gets cited in front of the planning board or the county zoning board. Both take public comment.
