SeaPoint, the 226-acre private marine terminal Savannah industrialist Reed Dulany's Dulany Industries is building at 118 E. 35th St. on the former Kemira industrial site, continues moving toward construction, with a half-mile ship-dock wall underway. The terminal sits inside a larger 755-acre build-ready industrial complex with a mile of deepwater frontage on the Savannah River shipping channel, on-site Class I rail, and up to 45 megawatts of electrical capacity, and is being marketed as a flexible site for bulk and breakbulk cargo tenants.
It is a private facility, distinct from the Georgia Ports Authority's own separate container-terminal expansion projects nearby. Developing the site out is expected to take until at least 2027.
What to watch
Watch for a named anchor tenant or a completed dock-wall milestone; Dulany Industries has not announced either yet.
