JLL Capital Markets secured acquisition financing for the sale of the Hyatt Regency Savannah, a 351-key full-service hotel on the Savannah River in the Historic District, in a $158 million deal. The buyer is a joint venture between affiliates of Certares Real Estate Management and Clearview Hotel Capital, backed by a floating-rate loan from Real Estate at Goldman Sachs Alternatives.

The transaction is a change of ownership on an existing, operating hotel, not new construction.

What to watch

Watch for whether the new ownership announces a renovation or rebrand, common after this kind of hotel-fund acquisition.
