The Brookhaven City Council voted 3-0 on August 25, 2026 to approve rezoning case LUP26-00001 and special land use permit LUP26-00002, clearing Ashford Green Ventures, LLC to add a five- to six-story, 320-unit apartment building, alongside a renovated 266,000-square-foot office building and 16,000 square feet of restaurant space, to the 14.24-acre Ashford Green campus at 4170 Ashford Dunwoody Road.
Why it matters
It converts entitled office capacity inside Brookhaven's Central Perimeter, right off I-285, into housing on a site that already sits among the district's office towers, hotels, and parking decks, instead of adding a standalone project further out.
What to watch
DeKalb Watershed Management still has to approve a sewer capacity request for the site's land development phase before construction can begin; the approval also caps the residential building at 6 stories and its parking deck at 7 levels and 70 feet tall.
