Emory commits $15.8M toward a Brookhaven greenway bridge over I-85

Brookhaven laid out a funding plan for a bridge carrying the Peachtree Creek Greenway over Interstate 85 to Emory University's Executive Park district. Emory is putting in $15.8 million over ten years, with the balance coming from private investment, economic development tools, and partner contributions.

The city says no residential property taxes will pay for design or construction. Final design should wrap in late 2027 with a 2028 groundbreaking, and Phase 2 of the greenway itself breaks ground this year.
