Invest Atlanta and the Atlanta BeltLine launched a new mortgage assistance program this week, offering up to $30,000 toward a down payment for legacy residents and public employees buying a home inside the BeltLine Tax Allocation District, and up to $20,000 for other qualified buyers.

The money comes out of the BeltLine's affordable-housing budget and targets longtime residents in neighborhoods where BeltLine-driven price increases have made ownership harder to reach.
