Seoul-based DeltaX will spend $141 million on its first North American manufacturing headquarters at the Piedmont Regional Industrial Park in Monroe, in Walton County east of Atlanta. The first phase is a 100,000-square-foot plant assembling battery energy storage systems on about 25 acres, expected to create roughly 250 jobs. The systems store large amounts of electricity and are increasingly used to feed the surging power demand of data centers.
